HAPPY BIRTHDAY....
UNITED STATES MARINES
Novemeber 10th, 2010 the Marines celebrate 235 years of service to the United States of America.
Marines come from all corners of this great land and from all walks of life to join the Marine Corps. This elite group of men and women enter the service as boys and girls and leave men and women. The basic Marine is what we are MOS/0300. I am proud to be called a ground pounder, jarhead, leather neck and most of all a MARINE.
This year Detachment # 186 held the MARINE CORPS BIRTHDAY BALL at the Orleans Hotel & Casino with members of the Navajo Code Talkers in attendance. Basic High School Girl Drill Team & Boys Drill Team each drilled in silence and never missing a beat.
At one side of the stage a table was set for our Fallen & Missing.
Many who attended the Ball returned to the Marine Corps League to say, good bye to new and old friends until next year.
