30 Hours of Classroom

The book used for classroom instruction is Drive Right and teaching aids are some videos with guest speakers to aid with information needed by our young students as they prepare to enter the adult world and drive upon the streets as young adults. 

As part of the classroom instuction we cover some of the laws which govern the roads in this state of Colorado in our first section as well as a pre-test to obtain a Colorado Permit.  Students preform well with little to no real knowledge of Colorado law.  We also cover The Driving Task,  Controlling Your Vehicle,  Driving in Differant Environments, and Being a Responsible Driver.    

Six hours Behind-the-Wheel Drive Time

Our Behind-the-Wheel trianing is completed through three 2 hour sessions.

The first drive is residential and focuses on teaching the student the basic maneuvers of the car.

The second drive is downtown and teaches visual skills and extends the student's knowledge of vehicle and lane control.

The last drive is a mountain and highway drive which wraps up all that the student has learned by testing the student on their visual pattern and knowledge of driving in adverse conditions. Throughout each drive, the student continually practices defensive driving, evasive actions, car control, and braking.
